3 of The Best Miracle Foods For Optimum Wellness and Getting Rid of Fat
Author: Mark Fitsworth
While there are many delicious and healthy foods that you can eat that are great for
getting rid of fat, there are some that are particularly high and famous for their free radical destroying abilities and great for getting rid of fat.
Before we dive into these three foods, we have to understand antioxidants, which are effectively substances or nutrients found in our foods which have the ability to slow down or even prevent oxidative damage from happening to our body. Whenever our body cells utilize oxygen (in almost everything we do each day), they naturally produce free radicals which can cause damage. (A good example of an activity that can produce free radcials naturally is exercise.)
Antioxidants behave as "free radical scavengers" helping to stop and fix any damage that has been done by these free radicals. Health problems such as diabetes, macular degeneration, heart disease, and cancer are all contributed by oxidative damage.
And now with that explanation, let's look at 3 of the best foods for optimum health:
1) Acai Berries
Acai is a fruit that grows on the Acai Palm Trees in the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. The Acai berry is small in size (smaller than a grape) and is dark purple in color. Although Acai may be small in size, it is jam packed with antioxidants and amino acids, and is thought to be one of the most nutritional fruits of the Amazon basin. Acai has 10 Times the antioxidant power of red grapes and twice that of blueberries and is great for any belly fat loss diet.
That said, unlike a lot of false information you find online, I am not going to say that the Acai berry is the be all and end all fruit that will cure you of all of your problems. That is complete nonsense and a blatant attempt to take money from people while playing on their hopes. A wonderful antioxidant, the Acai berry is a fantastic addition to your healthy diet, but not a magic potion which will lead to automatically getting rid of fat and weight loss many make it
out to be.
2) Green Tea
Green tea, white tea, black tea and oolong tea all originate from th Cameilia sinensis tea plant. Any tea coming from this plant contains polyphnols which are a kind of antioxidant. Whether black or grean, tea has about 8 to 10 times the polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables (although the types of anti-oxidants are a bit different).
Having 1 or 2 cups of tea can be an excellent way to get a nice dose of antioxidants each day. However, just as many marketers have exxagerated the benefits of Acai berry, they have done the same with green tea. Yes, it is a wonderful addition to any diet for getting rid of fat and staying healthy, but it's not the miracle drink many marketers make it out to be. A number of studies have indicated that green tea may have the ability to increase metabolism and help the body burn fat, but that does not mean that drinking loads of it throughout the day will guarantee any sort of long term weight loss. It's also important to keep in mind that tea does have caffeine and there are many people who have to watch their daily caffeine intake.
3) Pomegranate
The pomegranate is a popular exotic fruit whose origins are from the Middle East and Asia.
It is also known as the granada, grenade, and the Chinese apple. In addition to its delicious flavour and variety of ways that it can be eaten and drank, research has shown that pomegranate has more antioxidants than red wine, cranberries and even green tea.
Pomegranates have also been shown to promote healthy blood pressure levels and low cholesterol and are great as part of any nutrition plan for getting rid of fat. They may even prevent prostate cancer in men.
So, how do I include these 3 foods into my daily meals?
1. Start your day with one cup of green tea. I say the morning, so the caffeine does not affect your sleep that night. You can sweeten your tea with Stevia, Xylitol, Agave Syrup, or a small amount of raw honey.
2. Drink between 2-4 ounces of pomegranate juice during breakfast, lunch or snack or eat it during those meals. I suggest mixing your 2-4 ounces with water and sip alongside one of your meals.
3. If you find that it is difficult to get antioxidant rich foods everyday, you can substitute with an antioxidant supplement. Prograde is one of the few companies that I trust, and has a powerful antioxidant supplement I highly recommend. It contains a high-octane extract blend of coffeeberry, acai berry, pomegranate, green tea, wolfberry and Biovin grape. <p>
